General Description
The Northern California Regional Land Trust (NCRLT) is currently seeking a program coordinator to develop, implement and lead programs and strategies for regional land conservation, as well as prepare grant proposals and conduct annual stewardship monitoring.
Primary Duties
• Assist executive director with implementation and management of land protection programs and projects
• Review and evaluate NCRLT land protection applications; perform site visits; prepare prospectuses for NCRLT Land Committee; organize and attend land committee meetings as needed; make presentations to executive director, land committee and board
• Assist executive director in reviewing and drafting conservation easements, option agreements and baseline condition reports
• Maintain active knowledge of projects and work with staff to provide assistance and support as needed including preparation of reports, and other deliverables for grants
• Assist with necessary project-related administrative tasks and clerical duties
Secondary Duties
• Grant writing
• Annual easement compliance monitoring
• Landowner communications
• Maintain stewardship database including reports, photos and legal documents
Qualifications
Four-year degree in agriculture, natural resources management, earth sciences, biological sciences, environmental planning or related field, or at least two years of work experience in land conservation, land use planning, estate planning or other related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with a commitment to accurate and detailed work products. Demonstrated ability to work within a team or individually. Entrepreneurial, outgoing and friendly spirit. Knowledge of the use of conservation easements in land conservation is highly desirable.
Benefits
This is a part-time position. An hourly wage commensurate with experience will be paid. The part-time program coordinator position does not qualify for benefits.
